Podster's BBS Listing.

Podsnet started out with the dial-up bbs that would service an arbitrary area and group of users.  When the internet came along, systems started to dissapear from the nodelist as their usership dwindled.  But the concept of free access to information and the exchange of ideas with others is still with us. BBS's have not totally dissappeared, for viable economic reasons, nor have all Podsters given up on the dialup BBS.

Here is a listing of some of those Podsters who still maintain a functioning dial-up BBS.

The BBS was not an isolated entity and the Fido Technology Network (FTN) is still with us.  Podsters still carry the torch in much smaller, but growing networks. One of these networks that has come to our attention is AEON whose head gnome, so we are told, is a Podster.
